Project Orange Crush - 1972 Chevy Chevy Cheyenne Super We have acquired a very straight clean 1972 short wide. The 454 engine and turbo 350 trans have to go to make way for an LS conversion. In keeping with PMC theme it will receive a restomod treatment.

2008 Chevy 5.3 Vortec & 4L60e Trans picked from a clean low mileage 2008 Chevy Tahoe 2wd
Factory in-cab fuel tank removed and relocated to between the rear frame rails using an aluminum Boyd Welding side fill EFI tank. Factory fuel filler sealed up with a fabbed 1962 impala emblem plate. Fuel filler box fabbed up using 20ga sheet metal , wrapped with 1972 Orange Crush logo, 2' marine filler and re-located in truck box.
Factory tach dash pulled in favor of Dakota Digital VHX Digital /analogue gauge set to facilitate the electronics for the LS swap. Carpet pulled and Dynamat installed in cab Steering wheel changed over to 1969 Chevy Comfort Grip. Bench seat recovered with factory style houndstooth E38 Electronic Control Module, Transmission control module, and wiring harness fuse box installed behind glove box
Motor & trans installed using CPP LS engine adaptor plates, Performance On-Line tubular engine stands, CPP transmission cross member. Exhaust manifolds changed to 2009 Chevy Trailblazer SS for frame and engine mount clearance
Engine install finished with an aluminum 28" Northern radiator 2004 Chevy SSR 5.3 engine cover- custom painted and Cheyenne emblems installed K&N high performance air filter
