Manta Avery’s Project RUST VALLEY RESTORERS
Pacific Muscle Cars was approached by Avery Shoaf of Rust Valley Restorers fame, to help out getting Manta kit car body worked and painted so he could finalize engine installation. As seen on the hit TV series filmed in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia Canada, Avery and Mike have many project vehicles on the go, and occasionally need a bit of assistance in getting them finalized. The Manta needed hundred of hours of fiberglass repair and modification and anyone who has worked with fiberglass knows that is super itchy and not much fun. But we dug in and knocked it out of the park.
Pacific Muscle Cars received the car from Avery after he unloaded it from his flat deck trailer and rolled it across the street. We couldnt resist getting the Dodge Caravan door handles off and installed flush handles, built out the hidden headlights, and improved venting on the front hood. It took us 4 weeks to completed the build working 6-7 days per week, 10-12 hours per day with a talented team of individuals and volunteers for this project. You can see the car and our shop on Season 4 Episode 3 and 4 of Rust Valley Restorers. From fiberglass fabrication, structural repairs, fitment, body work to paint you can see it all!
See below for pictures of the build process in our shop! And YES it looks as good in person as the pictures do!
